Instructions for the test proctor:
1. Use the same computer the student will use for the exam to
log in. It is best if you do this well in advance of the student arriving for the exam so that you have time to cure any problems that may arise. Use the students login ID and password. They are case
sensitive so type the upper and lowercase letters as indicated.
2. Once you are in the exam site, click on the icon to begin
the exam. You will find 3 exams ready to be taken.
3. The proctor should take the Proctor's Test Run exam only to
make sure everything is working correctly. Do
not click on the EP2 exam because once you click on it the clock starts
running and there can be no interruptions until the exam is completed.
4. If you are able to successfully complete the Proctor's Test Run quiz
on the computer the student will be using then you are ready for the
student to take the test.
5. After the test has been completed, contact the Society Business Office and/or your Regional Representative with the results of the exam.
Problems?
Most problems stem from either pop up blockers that interfere with
the operation of the quiz or firewall security settings. Disable
both pop up blockers and firewalls to see if they are causing the
problem. If so, either disable the programs or adjust their
settings to allow the test to work.
Occasionally, company firewalls will be the culprit. If that is
the case, only your company IT person can help. If you suspect it
is the company firewall, try more than one computer. If you have
the same problem with all computers in your work area then it is
probably the company firewall.
Final Note:
Make sure the student is aware that once the exam begins, no other
browser windows may be opened or the quiz will close itself and freeze
the grade at that point. The student should not try to save the
web page, print, or any other operations which may affect the test
software. |
